Program Overview
Welcome to the Oak and Orca Summer School Program! This year's program will run throughout July and August with exciting weekly themes to be explored!
The Oak and Orca Summer School Program is an extension of our regular school programming with a learning through fun mandate. The Summer Program is centred around weekly themes geared towards encouraging deep connections with the natural world and cultural heritage of our home place. Each week we have two field trips, often cycling, to a variety of natural and educational locations around Victoria. Throughout the week we also have a variety of ongoing workshops to support continued academic learning and fun. As with all of our programs, the summer program encourages child-directed learning within the context of a supportive learning community connected to the natural and cultural heritage of our home place.
For more information about our Summer School Program or any of our Programs, please call the school at (250) 383-6609.
Enrollment Information
Take a tour before you enroll!
If possible, it is best if future participant families arrange to take a tour of the school before enrolling. This ensures that you know all about us and have all of your questions answered before enrolling. This is important since we are so different in both philosopy and practice from other programs. Once you are sure that you are clear about our programs, download the forms from the menu bar on the left or right this page. If you can't find the forms, let us know and we'll email them to you right away.
